Want to join an ambitious firm based in Waterford, providing outsourced payroll services to a growing portfolio of clients across Ireland. Our client is continuing to grow and are hiring an experienced Payroll Specialist who will suppport the wider team and ensure timely, accurate delivery while maintaining exceptional client service.

The Role

As Payroll Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process for multiple external clients across a variety of industries and structures. You’ll be the go-to person for payroll compliance, queries, and reporting, playing a key role in supporting the firm’s reputation for reliability and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run multiple weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients 

  • Ensure all payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in line with Revenue guidelines.

  • Handle starters/leavers, PAYE modernisation submissions (RTS), BIK, pension deductions, and statutory payments (maternity, paternity, sick leave, etc.).

  • Liaise with clients to gather and verify payroll inputs.

  • Prepare and issue payslips, payroll reports, and Revenue returns (P30, P45, P60, P35, etc. — via ROS).

  • Answer payroll-related queries from clients and employees professionally and promptly.

  • Stay up to date on changes in payroll legislation and Revenue requirements.

  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., accounts, onboarding) to support smooth client service delivery.

Key Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in payroll

  • IPASS qualification preferred (or currently studying).

  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation, PAYE modernisation, and Revenue Online Service (ROS)

  • High attention to detail, with strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
