Finance Manager

Kennedy & Partners Recruitment is working with an established and growing business in North Dublin to appoint a Finance Manager to its finance team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad, hands-on position offering significant exposure across both finance and the wider operation. The successful candidate will take ownership of management reporting and financial control while working closely with the CFO and operational teams around business performance, costing, margins and commercial decision-making.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:

Preparation and review of monthly management accounts

Budgeting, forecasting and detailed variance analysis

Financial analysis and commercial reporting to support business decisions

Stock, inventory and work-in-progress accounting
-
Product and operational costing, including material and labour variances
-
Balance sheet management and reconciliations
-
Cash flow management and working capital oversight

Supporting month-end, year-end and audit requirements

Development of financial controls, processes and reporting

Working closely with operational teams to understand performance and identify areas for improvement

Supporting the CFO across wider finance and business initiatives
The Person
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a broad role and being close to the day-to-day operation.
You will ideally have:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or strong relevant experience

Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, distribution or another operational environment

Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience

Exposure to costing, stock and inventory would be highly advantageous

Strong budgeting, forecasting and analytical capability
-
A hands-on approach with the ability to work across both financial and commercial matters

Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior management and non-finance stakeholders
