Management Accountant | Company Accountant

Kennedy & Partners Recruitment is working with an established Irish business to appoint a Company Accountant to its finance team.

This is a broad, hands-on position offering good exposure across management reporting, month-end, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis.

Working closely with the wider finance team and operational stakeholders, the successful candidate will play an important role in producing accurate financial information while providing insight to support business performance.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts

• Month-end reporting, journals, accruals and prepayments

• Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

• Analysis of financial and operational performance

• Supporting cash flow and working capital reporting

• Assisting with year-end and audit requirements

• Working with operational teams to understand performance and costs

• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls and processes

The Person

We are looking for someone with a strong grounding in management accounting who enjoys a varied, hands-on role.

You will ideally be:

• Part-qualified, newly qualified or qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA

• Experienced in management accounts and month-end reporting

• Strong on Excel with good systems capability

• Commercially minded with the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders

• Proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership of your work
